I stumbled across Steve Blakeman on Linkedin when an article he wrote stopped me from scrolling through my newsfeed. It was refreshing to see an actual post and not a re-share of some infographic, so I read it.It was so good, I bought his book, even though the topics were completely unrelated. I'm extremely particular about what writers I spend my time reading. Too many people who can barely string three words together are published these days. Steve Blakeman is the exact opposite. He's not published nearly enough and has a genuine talent when it comes to writing.I settled in to read this book over the weekend with a nice glass of blackberry-spice bush mead and was not surprised I went through the book (not the bottle of mead) in a single sitting. This book is the ultimate trifecta of non-fiction reading in my library. It is well written, provides great advice, and is complete with a healthy dose of sarcasm. Even if you don't want to publish on Linkedin, your writing will improve after reading this book. Of course, that means I think an awful lot of people should read it. He could have settled on the title "How to be a Top 10 Writer" and it would still be accurate.
Oh, and the book reads very well with a blackberry-spice bush mead, even though Mr. Blakeman recommended a red wine.

Having worked with Steve on a nano-scale for one of his recent articles, I must say that this book is brilliant! Simply brilliant.
Stevens ability to broach the subject of becoming a top writer on linked in, amongst other platforms I'm sure as well, was quite well done. As I read the book in two days, I say this work will be quintessential to those aspiring to achieve similar success (right there with the masses).

It was one of Steve's articles on LinkedIn that first caught my attention, so naturally, I contacted this wizard of writing. I wanted to know his secret... how on earth could someone write so engaging and with so much energy? Steve was very helpful and suggested I read his book, as it could reveal tips and tricks on how to write efficiently.
It absolutely lived up to my expectations (and exceeded them)! "How to be a Top 10 Writer on LinkedIn" is written with humor, brought to life through story-telling which all makes it easy to read. I found it to be deeply inspiring and motivating. It was an instructive experience, providing tips on how to express yourself - not just on LinkedIn. "How to be a Top 10 Writer" would certainly have been a fitting title as well - relevant for everyone who likes to write.
